Paradeplatz square

Paradeplatz square

Up to 15,000 visitors gather at the state stud’s parade square to keep the tradition of the Neustadt stallion parade alive. The first stud show took place here in 1921, and the stud’s state stallions were presented to breeders. Today, the event is a magnet for horse lovers of all ages. Enthusiasm is ensured by fascinating riding displays, horses in various arrangements pulling carts and, last but not least, that year’s new foals running around. To cope with increasingly large numbers of visitors, the large stand was constructed in the parade square in 2008. This well-kept square is also popular for holding breeding shows for breeding associations.
